Je Ka Faaji 2025 has officially set a new standard for cultural gatherings in Oyo Town. The event was a massive success, pulling a diverse crowd of youths, families, and dignitaries who came out to celebrate our heritage.
Top dignitaries in attendance included:
- The Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism and his entourage.
- Arewa Omo'Oba.
- Akbar Empire, among other distinguished guests.
The atmosphere was electric, anchored by the energetic Hypeman AY and fueled by the sounds of DJ Da System.
Cultural Highlights
The event was a beautiful tapestry of Oyo's diversity. We witnessed colorful cultural displays and chants, with a special "Cultural Entering" procession. Sabo led the way with a vibrant display, immediately followed by the Ilora community, and Atingisi showcasing the unity within our town.
The Verdict
In his address, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism expressed deep satisfaction with the turnout. He described the energy as "impressive" and openly promised his official support for next year's edition. He further challenged the organizers to start planning now, envisioning an even larger festival that welcomes more families from across the state next year.

It wouldn't be a party without food! Local vendors delivered premium experiences, featuring Amala made on-the-spot and fresh Pounded Yam, ensuring nobody left on an empty stomach.
