Introduction
They say "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Looking at the political and social landscape of Oyo today, I worry that we are forgetting who we are.
The "Oyo" Agenda
We spend too much time fighting over petty differences—which zone produces the Governor, which local government gets the project, or which family holds the title. While we bicker, other towns are organizing and developing.
Unity is our only path forward.
- Support Local: If an Oyo man starts a business, let us support him instead of pulling him down.
- Speak with One Voice: When we demand things from the State or Federal Government, it must be as Oyo, not as fragmented groups.
The Alaafin has always been a symbol of our unity. Let us honor that legacy by working together. If we don't build Oyo, nobody else will do it for us.
