OyoTimes is building the “Digital Town Square” for Oyo, and we need a Community Manager to hold the microphone. We are looking for a witty, empathetic, and sharp individual to manage our online presence.
Note: This is currently a volunteer position with huge potential for growth as the platform monetizes.
🚀 The Role
You are the face of the brand. You aren’t just posting links; you are chatting with our readers, moderating debates, and keeping the energy high.
📝 Responsibilities
- Social Engagement: Reply to comments on Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Keep the timeline active.
- Content Distribution: Share our daily stories to relevant Facebook Groups and WhatsApp Communities.
- Moderation: Oversee the “Community Voices” section to ensure discussions remain respectful.
- Growth: Brainstorm creative ideas (polls, quizzes, throwbacks) to grow our follower count.
✅ Requirements
- Excellent command of English and Yoruba (witty banter is a plus!).
- Deep understanding of Oyo Town’s culture, slang, and trends.
- Experience running a social media page (even a personal brand or a meme page counts).
- Available to check notifications periodically throughout the day.
